New York based private equity firm, Lightyear Capital, is the principal shareholder of the Antares Group. Lightyear has approximately US$3bn of committed capital under management and has its speciality interest within the financial services spectrum.

Württembergische Versicherung AG is one of the top 10 insurance companies in Germany and is part of the Wüstenrot & Württembergische Group with combined assets totalling approximately €71bn.

Chaucer Holdings Plc is a specialist Lloyd’s insurance group listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The business previously underwritten by the UK Branch of Württembergische Versicherung AG was the initial focus of the portfolio for Antares Syndicate 1274. The partnership formed by the principal investors enabled the existing book of business to be renewed in 2008 from the Company to the Lloyd’s marketplace by Antares Syndicate 1274, providing continuity to brokers and clients alike.
